Ba da ba ba baaa...

"Ba da ba ba baaaa...I'm lovin' it."
Yes, meaning I am loving Spain! So what if I have only been here for 2 days? It has been SO amazing so far.
Want to know what has been going on? I'd assume so because you are reading this so here we goooo:)... As told in my previous post, I love our host family. They are so kind and generous.
I got a solid 13 hours of sleep last night. It was beautiful. No more jet lag for Kristie!! Woot Woot!
This is what I did today:

After sleeping in late...until about 11am...I got up and took my precious time getting ready.
At about one Vern and I decided to go look for a store with shampoo and conditioner/walk around a bit. It was fun walking around and seeing all the people. There are so many cute old people out and about all the time:)
La Plaza de Cervantes
At 2 We came back to our apartment and Maria made us lunch. It was..different. haha. I think I will be trying a lot of new things while I am here. I better get used to it
We met with our group at 3:30 at La Universidad de Alcala, the school I will be attending for the next 3 months. Then a lady named Rocio, who is basically like our tour guide, gave us a little tour around Alcala. We got to see many museums from the outside that I plan to go into while I live here!
We were shown where the train station was, because tomorrow we will be taking it into Madrid. I am SO excited!

We then got to scatter and just walk around Alcala. Vern and I went to this little place where we tried out first chocolate caliente con churros (hot chocolate with churros). OH MY GOSH it was delicious! Tasty tasty.
We then came home and Encarna fed us some tasty pasta and yogurt with fruit. It was a delicious dinner. I enjoyed it very much.
After dinner we talked for quite awhile with Encarna and Roberto. I enjoy talking to them because they just love having conversations. Encarna loves hearing about what we do during the day and wants to know about everything!
Today she found out I had lived in Mexico and then she said she could tell that's why I had that accent. She said my accent is very different from theirs. It was interesting! I still have that Mexican accent, which is sort of fun:)

Well I have to wake up earlier tomorrow, so I should rest. Madrid in the morning!:)

Goodnight!
